Home is a place that sparks an emotion, creates gathering spaces and where grace should be at its greatest. Garden & Grace was started in 2021 as a resource for timeless inspiration for your home, closet and family.
I’m so glad you stopped by!
Such a lovely stay @hermitagehotel in Nashville, TN for the @antiquesandgardenshow. An easy walk to the show and such a beautiful historic building with an incredible restaurant, cute coffee bar, updated and large rooms and an elegant Afternoon Tea event that was such a highlight of the weekend. Can’t wait to visit again soon!

Have you ever paid attention to the roof of the homes you admire? I started paying attention and now I can’t help but notice the roof material, lines and details. Swipe to see examples of slate, cedar, metal and clay shingles — including at least one with faux slate!

Swipe to see before! Do you have a space that looks like the second picture? It’s amazing how transforming a small space like this makes such a large impact!
I love how architect @mabryarch and interior designer @_wyattdesigns redesigned the small office space into a sophisticated bar area to fit the family’s current needs. The space is now an extension of the home’s personality and entertainment space and I love the rich color tone and Ralph Lauren finishes too!

✨ Excited (and so honored) to share that I’ll be attending the Antiques & Garden Show of Nashville (@antiquesandgardenshow) next weekend as an invited guest.
I’ve always been drawn to pieces that tell a story — the kind with history, character, and a past that makes a home feel layered and lived-in. Being surrounded by dealers and collectors who value that same sense of storytelling feels incredibly special.
Follow along next weekend as I share my experience, behind-the-scenes moments, and the unique finds that speak to me along the way 🤍🌿

Our backyard transformation was a 2025 home project I’m so glad we did! The backyard was slopped, too shaded and an unwelcoming extension of our home.
Here’s what we did:
– removed two koi ponds
– removed 8 trees and lots of large bushes
– brought in 5 dump truck loads of dirt to level it out
– added turf
– carved out space for a trampoline / swing-set
The home had beautiful existing brick hardscape so we thoughtfully tied the new landscape into the existing layout so it felt like it had always been that way.
I love having a safe, kid-friendly space for our kids and golden retriever to play! It’s now a welcomed extension of our home, and my only regret is not doing it sooner.

But this was my “off year.” We didn’t put up our family Christmas tree, we didn’t go the extra mile with outdoor Christmas lights, we haven’t packed each night with festive family activities and we barely got a Christmas card out. I don’t know what it is about this year but I didn’t feel the same urgency or motivation. We still have garland around the front door, stockings hung above the fireplace and freshly baked Christmas cookies to enjoy and this year, that’s going to be enough. My family is also getting a less stressed and busy mom, and I’ll mark that as a win for everyone.
Whether you went all out (which is also wonderful!!) or whether you had to let some stuff go this year, I hope you’re able to spend the next few days soaking in whatever season you’re in because something we all know too well, every year is a gift ❤️

Glow up at home ✨✨ @lanternandscroll copper hanging lantern and post lantern are exactly what I imagined our home needed. Instant curb appeal upgrade!!
I had the post wrap made to match the gate and fence and painted in BM China White. Would you believe the lights are electric? The flickering bulbs add so much charm!
Comment “LIGHTS” and I’ll send you a link to the lanterns and light bulbs.

I haven’t done this in a while but…
Another example of charming, Charlotte history being torn down for “bigger and better.” Built in 1931, this home sits on the corner of an established neighborhood intersection where its presence brings a level of comfort. It’s not pretentious or painted white but upon closer look it holds architectural details and a sense of history that is becoming something of a pastime in Charlotte. I don’t want to shame anyone for tearing down homes and truthfully, sometimes it makes sense to start over but please, please don’t take away all the charm and history that makes Charlotte so special.
